Denver Events This Month: Best of October 2026

By Eventism TeamLast verified Nov 4, 2026 Editor-curated

November in Denver runs in two acts. Act one is art and rap: Denver Arts Week takes over the city's galleries and museums for ten days, and the month's concert calendar stacks six major hip-hop and R&B nights — including a genuine coin-flip on Wednesday, November 11, when Vince Staples plays the Fillmore the same night Steve Lacy headlines Red Rocks. Act two starts on Friday, November 20, when the whole holiday season switches on at once: the Christkindlmarket opens, Blossoms of Light opens, and the Mile High Tree lights up — all on the same evening. The six concert cards below link straight to their Eventism listings; the full run lives in Colorado Hip Hop Concerts & Shows. Thanksgiving anchors the month's final week — plan the day itself with our Thanksgiving in Denver 2026 guide, and when you're ready to go deeper on the lights and markets, the Denver Christmas & Holiday Events 2026 guide carries the full season.

PJ Morton: Saturday Night Sunday Morning Tour

PJ Morton: Saturday Night Sunday Morning Tour
Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, Downtown. Tue Nov 3, 8:00 PM.

The month opens with the smoothest ticket in it: the New Orleans singer, songwriter and longtime Maroon 5 keyboardist is a six-time GRAMMY winner whose solo shows move between Saturday-night soul and Sunday-morning gospel without losing the groove. His latest album, Cape Town to Cairo, was made during a 30-day trip across Africa, and the Paramount's ornate, intimate room is exactly the right scale for it — close enough to hear every harmony.

Denver Arts Week 2026

Denver Arts Week 2026 — photo 1

Denver Arts Week 2026
Museums, galleries and creative districts citywide. Fri Nov 6 – Sun Nov 15. Free and ticketed events (admission varies by event).

Visit Denver's 20th annual takeover: 200+ arts and cultural events across ten days. It kicks off Friday Nov 6 with expanded First Friday Art Walks across the city's creative neighborhoods — RiNo and the Art District on Santa Fe included — and peaks Saturday Nov 7 with Free Night at the Museums (5:00–10:00 PM), when many of Denver's top institutions open their doors free, with shuttles running between selected locations. If you do one cultural thing this month, build a Friday-to-Saturday run at this.

Vince Staples: Cry Baby Tour

Vince Staples: Cry Baby Tour — photo 1

Vince Staples: Cry Baby Tour
Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 Clarkson St, City Park North. Wed Nov 11, doors 7:00 PM / show 8:00 PM.

The Long Beach rapper built his reputation on dense, wry lyricism over lush production, and his recent work — including Dark Times — is a sharpened version of exactly that: melancholy, funny, completely in command. Live, Staples is famously no-frills and high-energy — just the records at full intensity, in a big general-admission room built for it. Note the date carefully: he is in Detroit on Nov 7; Denver is the 11th.

Steve Lacy: Oh yeah? Tour

Steve Lacy: Oh yeah? Tour — photo 1

Steve Lacy: Oh yeah? Tour
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison. Wed Nov 11, doors 7:00 PM / show 8:00 PM.

The other half of November's biggest choice night. Lacy's genre-bending mix of R&B, funk and indie rock — the sound that broke out with "Dark Red" and the Gemini Rights era — has grown into a full amphitheatre show on his first headlining run since 2022, behind his third album, Oh yeah? A November night under the rocks is late-season Red Rocks at its most atmospheric: cool air, city lights below, a crowd that came to listen as much as dance. Staples indoors or Lacy under the sandstone — pick your lane.

Clipse & J.I.D with Samara Cyn

Clipse & J.I.D with Samara Cyn
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison. Thu Nov 12, 6:00 PM.

Two generations of elite lyricism on one bill: Clipse — Pusha T and Malice, whose sharp, gritty narratives made them one of hip-hop's most distinctive duos — alongside J.I.D, the Dreamville rapper known for intricate flows and dynamic storytelling, with rising rapper-singer Samara Cyn opening. It's a 6:00 PM start, early for Red Rocks, so the headliners play into the dark under the sandstone. For listeners who measure a show in bars per minute, this is the strongest pure hip-hop bill of Colorado's fall.

Denver Christkindlmarket — Opening Day

Denver Christkindlmarket — Opening Day — photo 1

Denver Christkindlmarket — Opening Day
Tivoli Quad, Auraria Campus, 1000 Larimer St, Downtown. Opens Fri Nov 20; runs daily through Wed Dec 23. Free admission. Mon–Thu 1:00–9:00 PM; Fri–Sun 11:00 AM–9:00 PM (Thanksgiving Day 11:00 AM–4:00 PM).

The 26th annual market — Denver's only authentic German-style Christmas market — stays at Auraria Campus this year while Civic Center Park is under construction: wooden huts, glühwein and spätzle, European craft vendors, a Festival Hall open until 10 PM, and new this year a 42-foot carousel and glass-blowing workshops. The 110-foot Mile High Tree stands on the same campus, and the Mile High Drone Shows fly nightly at 7:00 PM from Nov 20 — one trip covers the whole holiday opening.

Blossoms of Light — Opening Night

Blossoms of Light — Opening Night — photo 1

Blossoms of Light — Opening Night
Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St, Cheesman Park. Opens Fri Nov 20; runs through Sun Jan 10, 2027, 4:30–9:00 PM nightly (closed Thanksgiving, Nov 26, and Dec 25). Timed-entry tickets required — advance online purchase only, no door sales; public on-sale Mon Nov 9 (member presale from Nov 4).

For nearly four decades this has been the city's signature holiday walk: a mile-long path through the York Street gardens rebuilt as an illuminated wonderland of LED displays and immersive installations, with warm drinks and holiday treats at the cafés. Opening weekend sells first — book the date when tickets drop.

Tyla: THE A*POP WORLD TOUR

Tyla: THE A*POP WORLD TOUR — photo 1

Tyla: THE A*POP WORLD TOUR
Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 Clarkson St, City Park North. Fri Nov 20, doors 6:30 PM / show 7:30 PM.

The GRAMMY Award-winning South African star turned "Water" into a global phenomenon and built her amapiano-meets-pop sound into one of the most imitated styles in current pop and R&B. This is her first headlining run through North America, and Denver lands mid-tour in a room far smaller than the arenas later dates play. Expect a choreography-heavy, hit-dense set — and one of the youngest, loudest crowds of the Fillmore's fall. Stack it with the Christkindlmarket's opening afternoon and you've built the month's best Friday.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve
Ball Arena, 1000 Chopper Cir, Downtown. Sat Nov 21, two shows: 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

The holiday arena-rock institution returns with an all-new production of the show that made it famous — seasonal classics rebuilt with symphonic scope, lasers and pyrotechnics. TSO has sold over 10 million concert tickets since 1999 by making a Christmas concert feel like a stadium rock show, and Denver gets the full two-show Saturday: the matinee for families, the evening show for the full spectacle. If Blossoms of Light is the season's quiet magic, this is its loud counterpart.

Zoo Lights — Opening Night

Zoo Lights — Opening Night — photo 1

Zoo Lights — Opening Night
Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, 2300 Steele St, City Park. Opens Mon Nov 23; select nights through Sun Jan 3, 2027. Sun–Thu 4:30–9:00 PM; Fri–Sat 4:30–10:00 PM (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas). Regular nights: $29.95 adults/seniors, $22.95 youth, ages 2 and under free; members save 10% (value nights cheaper — see the Zoo's calendar). Tickets on sale Thu Nov 5; member priority access Nov 2.

Eighty acres and more than three million lights, with illuminated animal sculptures across the whole zoo — still the family's first-choice lights night in Denver, and the one that sells out earliest. Opening night is a Monday, which makes it the calmest ticket of the run.

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot — photo 1

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot
Washington Park, start at South High School, 1700 E Louisiana Ave, Wash Park. Thu Nov 26 (Thanksgiving Day). Registration opens 7:30 AM; Wave 1 starts 9:00 AM, Wave 2 9:30 AM, Wave 3 10:00 AM; Lil' Gobbler 1-mile family fun run 10:15 AM.

Denver's greatest Thanksgiving tradition, 53 years running: a 4-mile race/walk around Washington Park (and a BOLDERBoulder qualifier, if you're chasing a wave), with the 1-mile Lil' Gobbler run, a Finish Village with a family fun zone, costumes encouraged, dogs welcome on leash, and a post-race beer garden for the 21+ crowd. Last year nearly 11,600 runners raised more than $770,000 for Mile High United Way's work with local families — the rare holiday event that earns its feast and funds someone else's. Register in advance; race-day registration exists but shirt sizes aren't guaranteed.

Key Glock: Big5 Live!

Key Glock: Big5 Live!

Summit Music Hall, 1902 Blake St, LoDo. Sun Nov 29, doors 7:00 PM / show 8:00 PM. All ages. The Memphis rapper closes November's concert run at Summit — his Big5 Live! stop in Denver with Zo Trapalot, announced Oct 27. No face-value price was published on the official Ticketmaster listing — use the Eventism listing for current official availability.
